Professional Development
As one of 16 public technical colleges in Wisconsin, Moraine Park strives to ensure quality education by requiring Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) certification and recertification of instructors and some administrators. The state has a responsibility to make certain that all citizens of the state, regardless of their area of residence, have the opportunity for quality education. Proper staffing is one of the most important considerations in delivering quality education. Moraine Park adheres to the WTCS requirements for instructor certification and recertification in documented processes and procedures managed by Human Resources.
Organizational Development offers a variety of staff and professional development opportunities and services that help employees deliver quality education to meet the needs of students and move the College towards its vision: mentoring, new staff and faculty orientation, yearly professional development opportunities calendar, required and optional training, in-service, team framework, and facilitation services.
To deliver quality education, Moraine Park supports an International Education Committee that prepares our students to compete worldwide. This Committee internationalizes the curriculum with global activities throughout our campuses and develops education-abroad opportunities for the global community including staff, students and businesses.
