Federal and State Programs

The Federal PELL Grant Program was established to provide a foundation of aid to which all other types of aid are added.  Determination of eligibility for a FPELL is based upon the student's need.


The Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant Program (FSEOG) may be available to supplement the FPELL in cases of low family contributions.

 

New Federal Grant Program Academic Competitiveness Grant establishes a new federal aid program has been created that may benefit eligible Moraine Park students attending full-time in associate degree programs


The Bureau of Indian Affairs Grant Program is available to Native Americans who are at least one-fourth Indian lineage.  Applicants must complete the Indian Scholarship Application available from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in addition to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).


The Wisconsin Higher Education Grant Program (WHEG) can provide a grant to Wisconsin resident students attending at least half-time which may supplement the federal aid programs.


The Minority Retention Grant Program is available to minority students who are Wisconsin residents in the second year of a two-year program and who have maintained a 2.0 grade point average.


The Talent Incentive Program Grant (TIP) is designed to supplement the WHEG program for Wisconsin residents who may be disadvantaged or a minority.  Contact your nearest Wisconsin Education Opportunity Center for further information.


The Wisconsin Deaf/Blind Handicapped Program Grant is available to Wisconsin residents who are deaf, hard of hearing, or visually handicapped with need.   Contact the Higher Educational Aids Board, P.O. Box 7885, Madison, WI 53707-7885 or call (608) 266-0888 for more information.


The Wisconsin Academic Higher Education Scholarship Program is available to students chosen by Wisconsin high schools and the Department of Public Instruction.  Students must  enroll in an associate degree program, full-time, and maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
