Human Resources Internship, Fond du Lac Campus
Moraine Park Technical College’s Fond du Lac Campus is looking for a student intern to assist the College’s Human Resources Department. This intern will assist in the recruitment of all categories of employees and complete Human Resources projects.
Qualifications:
A student earning college credit for this internship, Human Resources major with at least two years of study complete. This individual must have knowledge of employment laws and practices, be proficient in MS Office, have excellent written and oral communication skills, a high degree of organizational skills, demonstrated ability to respect confidential information and the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers in a team environment. Hours are flexible between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and would total approximately 10 - 15 hours per week February 2009 through August 2009. Compensation will be $8.75/hr.
Registred Nurse, Fond du Lac Campus
Applications are being accepted for a temporary, full-time Instructional Aide – Health Sciences position at Moraine Park Technical College, Fond du Lac campus. The primary duties will include health record review for Health Sciences students and faculty and ordering supplies and equipment for Health Sciences. This position will also gather, prepare and maintain equipment and provide open nursing lab to include student support and remediation. This is a temporary position that will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin with 2 years as an RN including Medical/Surgical experience.

Temporary Housekeeper – Evenings, Beaver Dam Campus
Hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Friday 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

This position performs routine custodial duties throughout the building, and other cleaning as needed. Previous cleaning experience a plus.
Temporary Assistant 2 – Child Care, Fond du Lac Campus

The primary function of this position is to perform child care services at the Fond du Lac Child Care Center. The hours of these positions are sporadic, as needed and may vary from week to week. Temporary employees must work less than 600 hours year.
Characteristic Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Follow daily activity plans written by the Child Care Specialist for children in an assigned age group.
2. Assist in the maintenance of children’s records, including attendance, meal production records and daily activity records for infants and toddlers when needed.
3. Provide daily information to parents on children’s daily learning activities.
4. Assist with serving snacks and lunch.
5. Assist in coordinating supply and equipment needs for assigned classroom.
Qualifications/Training/Experience:
1. 80 hours of child care training.
2. Ability to work as a team member.
3. Knowledge of early childhood development and guidance.
4. Knowledge of sanitation, safety and nutrition as related to child care.
5. Ability to practice professionalism, good judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Temporary Assistant 2 – Enrollment Management, West Bend Campus

The primary function of this position is to perform a variety of administrative and technical activities that provide office support and back-up to the West Bend campus College Relations and Enrollment Management department. The hours of these positions are sporadic, as needed and may vary from week to week. Temporary employees must work less than 600 hours year.
Characteristic Duties / Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry of student prospect information into college system.
- Provide customer service to students, staff and the general public by responding to basic questions on the telephone and in person.
- Schedule appointments and operate office equipment such as copy and fax machines.
Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Knowledge and experience of basic office procedures and equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- The ability to type 40 wpm.
- The ability to organize, plan and prioritize responsibilities, with interruptions and limited supervision.

Information Technology Intern - Resource Development Dept., Fond du Lac Campus

This position's hours are flexible between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., for a total of 15 - 20 hours per week for three to six months. Temporary employees must work less than 600 hours year.
Characteristic Duties / Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and suggest improvements to increase the accessibility and usability of the intranet website.
- Perform site maintenance including link checking, code and accessibility and validation and content updating.
- Create site maintenance documentation.
- Provide training on content updating to Administrative Assistant - Resource Development.
- Work with Resource Development staff to create an information architecture for data storage on the structure and conventions to use for storage of electronic data that is part of the intranet website.
- Create design prototype, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content for web sites.
Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- A student earning college credit for this internship, in their last semester of an information technology related program.
- Proficient in the use of Dream Weaver and PhotoShop to create pages and update content on pages.
- Ability to read and write code: DHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.
- Understanding of screen/graphics resolution, image compression, typography, web ready content and basic graphic design principles.
- Knowledge and experience in website workflow and documentation process.
Hourly Rate: $6.50
