Fundamentals of Press Brake Operation
Moraine Park Technical College, in partnership with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International, will host a workshop for participants to learn the best techniques for precision sheet metal work and the math behind sheet metal bending as they get real experience on a press brake forming a box. This one-day, hands-on event uses curriculum developed by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA). The training is geared toward new operators, engineers, designers and programmers and will explore:
- Press brakes – their operation and related terminology
- Controls and programming
- How different forming methods relate to bend types
- The 20 percent rule of air forming
- Proper use of hand tools
- Safety

Classroom and Hands-on: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
