Student Awards
Recognizing students' efforts in their classes, as well as in extracurricular activites at Moraine Park is an important part of the educational environment. A detailed listing of the awards available each year is available below. During each award's nomination window, nomination and (if applicable) recommendation forms are available via the links provided in each description.
Award recipients are honored each spring at the annual Student Awards Banquet, held in their honor. The 2008-09 banquet will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at The Camelot Golf Course in Lomira.

Who's Who Among American Junior Colleges Award
Nominations for Who's Who Awards are accepted in the fall semester of each year. Students must be nominated by a member of Moraine Park's faculty or staff, as well as meet the following criteria:
- be 2nd year Association Degree or Technical Diploma students
- have a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA
Nominees will be contacted regarding their nomination and must submit three letters of reference in order to remain eligible for this award. In and outside of class achievements will be considered when evaluating nominees.

Technical Achievement Award
Nominations for Technical Achievement Awards are accepted at the beginning of the spring semester each year. Up to two students in each 1-year Technical Diploma will be considered. Students must be nominated by a Moraine Park faculty member, and meet the following criteria:
- be enrolled in a 1-year Technical Diploma program
- have completed at least one semester of courses, and
- have a minimum 3.25 GPA
In and outside of class achievements will be considered when evaluating nominees.

Meritorious Service Award
Nominations for Technical Achievement Awards are accepted at the beginning of the spring semester each year. Students must be nominated by a faculty or staff member of Moraine Park, and meet the following criteria-
This award recognizes leadership and service in co-curricular or community activities (such as involvement with student clubs, etc).

Student of the Year Award
Nominations for Technical Achievement Awards are accepted at the beginning of the spring semester each year. Students may be nominated by a fellow MPTC student, faculty or staff member, and must meet the following criteria:.jpg)
- be graduating during the academic year of nomination
- excel in both classroom and community involvement
- should exemplify Moraine Park's 7 Core Abilities-
- Works Cooperatively
- Acts Responsibly
- Values Self Positively
- Thinks Critically and Creatively
- Communicates Clearly
- Works Productively
- Learns Effectively
Nominees deemed elgible will be interviewed by an internal college committee consisting of staff, faculty and students, who will select the Student of the Year based on their achievements and embodiment of Moraine Park's values.

MPTC District Student Ambassador Award
Nominations for the District Student Ambassador Award will be accepted at the beginning of the spring semester, between January and February. Students must be nominated by a faculty or staff member of Moraine Park, and meet the following criteria-
- be enrolled in a vocational diploma or associate degree program
- have completed at least one semester at Moraine Park
- be returning for the entirety of the following academic year
- excel in both classroom and community involvement, as well as intend to continue with those areas of involvement or expand to others
Nominees deemed elgible will be interviewed by a committee consisting of internal and external members of the college community who will select the Ambassador based upon Moraine Park's 7 Core Abilities and their future goals relative to their Moraine Park educational experience.

The Student Ambassador will have the opportunity to gain leadership experience by assisting with Moraine Park events throughout the following academic year, as well as attending community events with college staff and administrators.
