Moraine Park offers business training in November

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.

 

Listed here are a few of the courses that are available in November:

 

White Belt Training: Tuesdays, Nov. 3, 10 and 17, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room O-104, Fond du Lac campus. With this training, you can introduce the basic Six Sigma tools and improvement philosophy to a large percentage of your workforce. Cost is $650 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments.

 

Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2 to 4 p.m., Room O-107.1, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to conduct collaborative online meetings, including videoconferencing, chatting and screen sharing, and how to create interactive PowerPoint presentations using Adobe Presenter. Cost is $67 per person, which includes materials.

 

Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 – Level 1: Thursday, Nov. 5, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room O-107.1, Fond du Lac campus. Learn the basics of creating electronic presentations and explore the tools in PowerPoint 2007. Cost is $224 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments. A Level 2 class will be offered Nov. 12.

 

Adobe InDesign CS3 – Level 1: Friday, Nov. 6, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room S-112, West Bend campus. Work with some of the tools and features of InDesign CS3 to create eye-catching printed documents. Cost is $208 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments. A Level 2 class will be offered Nov. 13.

 

Respect in the Workplace: Wednesday, Nov. 18, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Room O-104, Fond du Lac campus. Learn to respond to and resolve situations arising from individual and cultural differences. Cost is $160 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.

 

Corporate Cooking Class: Saturday, Nov. 21, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Room 163, Hartford High School. In this fun, team-building experience your staff will create a full-course meal together in four hours, then sit down to enjoy it. Cost is $141 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments.

 

Registrations should be made at least one week prior to the start of a seminar.
