Real Estate Courses

Moraine Park Technical College is a certified provider of pre-licensing, brokerage and continuing education real estate courses from the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.  Courses are offered each semester at various campus locations throughout the year.  The Moraine Park Technical College provider number is 0241.

Pre Licensing

Moraine Park Technical College offers preparation courses for the real estate sales licensing exam in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.  The State of Wisconsin requires all prospective real estate sales agents to attend an approved course of study before taking the real estate exam.  The Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing requires that all applicants attend 72 hours of instruction.  Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be provided with a certificate to become eligible to sit for the licensing exam.

Textbooks can be purchased at the Moraine Park bookstore.  

All license testing for the state of Wisconsin is done through Promissor.  Testing dates and locations can be found on their website at Promissor.com.  

Brokerage

Moraine Park Technical College offers preparation courses for the real estate brokerage licensing exam in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.  The State of Wisconsin requires all prospective real estate brokers to attend an approved course of study before taking the real estate exam.  It is recommended, but not required, that participants have previously completed the Real Estate preparation course.  Classes can be taken concurrently, however a valid real estate sales agent license is required prior to taking the brokerage exam.  Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be provided with a certificate to become eligible to sit for the licensing exam.

Continuing Education

Various seminars are offered each year to allow licensed agents to obtain continuing education credits.   Agents must be aware that they do not repeat a seminar within the two-year renewal cycle.  Participants are responsible for maintaining a record of seminar topics attended.  All seminars are three hours in length (effective Fall 2009).  Continuing education credits will be banked with PearsonVue upon completion of the session.  Materials are available at the Moraine Park bookstore.
