Pre LicensingMoraine Park Technical College offers preparation courses for the insurance licensing exam in accordance with the Officer of the Commissioner of Insurance. The State of Wisconsin requires all prospective insurance agents for all product lines to attend an approved course of study before taking the insurance exam. The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance requires that all applicants attend 8 hours of Principles of Insurance Ethics and Law plus 12 hours of education directly related to the product line. The 8-hour Ethics and Law component must be taken within the last 12 months before taking your exam. Agents must be aware that they do not repeat a seminar within the two-year renewal cycle. Participants are responsible for maintaining a record of seminar topics attended.
