Where is the college located?
Moraine Park has three campus locations, nestled in the mid-Wisconsin cities of Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac and West Bend. In addition to our campuses, you can take many courses and some complete programs online - from the convenience of your home.
What programs or areas of study are offered?
We offer a variety of degrees in areas such as manufacturing, business and marketing, information technologies, public and human services, engineering technologies, automotive and engine technologies, building trades, health care and apprenticeships. How do I apply to a program?
Submit an application for admissions and follow all the required steps. Applications are available at each campus location or online. A $30 one-time application fee is required. For more details see how to Apply for Admissions.
I applied to Moraine Park in the past. Do I need to repay my application fee?
Moraine Park has a 1-time application fee of $30 that went into effect in 1998. If you paid the program application fee to Moraine Park after 1998 you do not need to pay again.
I previously paid a $30 application fee to another Wisconsin technical college. Do I need to pay it again if I apply to Moraine Park?
Yes. An application fee needs to be paid to each technical college you apply to.
Do I need to take a placement test to be admitted to Moraine Park and my program?
If your goal is to complete an associate degree or technical diploma, a placement test is required as part of the admissions process. Moraine Park also accepts the ACT, SAT and various other college entrance exams taken within five years of application to be considered for most programs. Please see the requirements for your desired program.
Do I have to be a full time student to get financial aid?
No. However, you must complete the admission process and be admitted into your program as well as complete the FAFSA in order to receive financial aid.
Do I have to have a high school diploma in order to enroll in a program at Moraine Park?
Yes. A high school diploma or high school equivalency is required for program admission.
I am not sure what I want to do? Is there someone available to help me?
Yes. Moraine Park has excellent and free career services where you can work one-on-one or in workshops to help create your own career and educational plan.
Will I get a job when I graduate?
Moraine Park consistently achieves 92 percent or higher graduate placement.
Do I need to be admitted to a program to take classes at Moraine Park?
For some courses at Moraine Park, you do need to be admitted to a program. Certain courses do require admission to a program or fulfillment of prerequisite courses. If you have a certain class in mind, please contact an outreach specialist for more information.
I’ve already taken some of my general education classes at another college. Will they transfer to my program at Moraine Park?
Contact your college and have them send an OFFICIAL copy of your transcript to Moraine Park. Once they have arrived, schedule an appointment with an admissions specialist to see which course(s) will transfer.
When can I register for classes?
Once you have been admitted to your program, you will receive information regarding registration dates and times. If you are not admitted to a program and would like to take a class, you will be allowed to register with the general public during open registration.
Will my Moraine Park college credits transfer to a 4-year college?
The credit transfer question is always tricky. Generally, Associate Degree courses are the ones that transfer, but the exact number of credits will depend on the school and program that you transfer to. In some cases, we have agreements with schools that allow you to easily transfer all your credits. Ultimately, the school to which you want to transfer makes the decision.
