Moraine Park Technical College currently offers the following competitive Call Staff Wages and Benefits.


Pay Schedule

Call staff teachers will be paid a salary per state-approved course hours taught. The state-approved course master record description file will be used to determine whether or not a course is lecture, lecture/lab, or lab. Effective July 1, 2008, the following formula will be used to determine salary for 100, 300 , 400 and 500 course levels:

 

Lecture classes: State-approved hours x $35
Lecture/Lab classes: State-approved hours x $33
Lab classes: State-approved hours x $31

Social Security

Moraine Park Technical College contributes 7.65% of wages for FICA and Medicare on your behalf.

 

Wisconsin Retirement System

Call staff instructors that work more than 440 hours for us during any 12-month period are enrolled into the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) Teacher category. If you meet this qualifying event, MPTC will make a contribution on your behalf. The benefit is outlined below:

  • Current contribution for the employee is 6% of wages (2008 calendar year)
  • Moraine Park pays an additional 4.6% of wages for you! (2008 calendar year)
  • Participants that began employment after April 23, 1998 are immediately vested for retirement benefits.

Tax Deferred Annuities

Call staff instructors meeting the requirements for enrollment into the Wisconsin Retirement System as outlined above (440 hours during a 12-month period) may avail themselves of the provisions of Section 403 (b) and 457 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended in 1958, permitting the purchase of tax deferred annuities.
