We’re still investigating the underlying cause for this error, but here’s a workaround that may work for you (Instructions for Windows only):
- Close out of ALL Chrome windows — including this one (IMPORTANT). You may want to open up this URL in Internet Explorer for easy reference.
- On your desktop, click on the Windows start menu (bottom left corner)
- Type ‘run‘ and paste in ‘%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data‘ in the dialog box (without the single quotes). Click OK.
- Locate the Local State file, and rename it (ex: Local State_09-30-16)
- Open Chrome and try to log in again
