Guaranteed Retraining

Moraine Park guarantees up to six credits of additional coursework to graduates of MPTC that do not get or keep employment in their program or related area within six months after graduation. This is available for students who have entered since the fall of 1993. To be eligible, graduates must provide the following information in writing to the Registrar:

1. Program was at least one year in length.
2. Have not been employed in a field related to their degree or diploma.
3. Have actively pursued employment in their occupational field.
4. Have not refused employment in their occupational field or in a related field.
5. Have made use of the College’s Employment Services Office.

6. Within ninety (90) days after their initial employment, the graduate’s employer certifies to the Registrar that the graduate lacks entry-level job skills and specifies, in writing, the specific areas in which the graduate’s skills are deficient.
